Change NVIDIA Control Panel Settings
Fire up NVIDIA Control Panel and change settings after adding Battlefield Hardline executable file there.
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:
1. Right-click on an empty area of your Desktop.
2. Select NVIDIA Control Panel.
3. In the new window that opens, click “Manage 3D settings” link.
4. Click Program Settings.
5. Locate and add the following file. Remember, actual installation location may vary.
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield: Hardline\BHF.exe

Reinstall Microsoft DirectX
Microsoft DirectX is an essential component. The executable files may be corrupt, which you may have to fix by reinstalling the package.
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:
- Double click This PC or Computer or My Computer icon.
- Locate following path:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\BFH__Installer\DirectX\Redist
- Right click “dxsetup.exe” file, select Run as administrator.
- Follow on-screen instructions.
Change Process Priority
Set the Battlefield Hardline process priority to higher.
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8:
- Press Windows Key + X, select Task Manager.
- Click “More Details.”
- Click Details tab.
- Right click “BHF.exe” and select Set Priority | High.
For Windows 7/ Vista:
- Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete.
- Click “Open Task Manager.”
- Click Processes tab.
- Right click “BHF.exe.”
- Select Set Priority | High.
Delete Saved Game Data
Your saved game files have been overwritten, corrupted or renamed. Delete those files so that the game will recreate new files again.
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8:
- Double click Users folder on Desktop.
- Double-click Documents or My Documents folder.
- Open following location:
- ..\BFHSettings\
- Delete all saved game files. Examples:
- meta.xml
- PROFSAVE_OriginID
- PROFSAVE_OriginID_header
For Windows 7/ Vista:
- Click Start | Documents.
- Refer Steps # 3-4 under Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8 user’s section.
Create a Custom Configuration File
Make a new settings file with Notepad as below:
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:
- Press Windows Key + R.
- It opens up a new dialog.
- Type “notepad.exe” and click OK.
- Insert following lines in Notepad:
- Click File | Save as.
- Specify the following:
- File Name:User.cfg
- File Path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield: Hardline
- File Type: All Files
- Exit Notepad.
