Reinstall UbiSoft Game Launcher To Avoid Assassin’s Creed Crashes
Following are the steps to use Programs and Features window to reinstall UbiSoft Game Launcher.

For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8:
1. Press Windows Key + X, select Programs and Features.
2. It opens up the list of all installed programs.
3. Uninstall the following application. To do so, right-click it and select Uninstall option.

Set Supported Screen Resolution
Set a compatible screen resolution to fix Assassin’s Creed crashes.


For Windows 10:
1. Type “Change the Screen Resolution” in Search Box, and open it.

Turn Off Hardware Acceleration
Use the DirectX configuration dialog box to disable hardware acceleration.

1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type “DxDiag” in the Open textbox.
3. Click OK or press ENTER key.
4. In the Microsoft DirectX dialog that opens, click Sound tab.
5. Turn off Hardware acceleration.
6. Exit out of the screen.
7. Restart your PC.
Resolve Cache Corruption
Fix your game cache and its corrupt files.
For Windows 10/ 8.1/ 8/ 7/ Vista:
1. Open Steam through its Desktop shortcut.
2. Go to the Library page.
3. Right-click Assassin’s Creed and select Properties.
4. Now you have a new dialog opened up. Click Local Files tab.
5. Click “Verify integrity of game cache” button.
6. Exit the Steam as soon as the process finishes and then re-open it again.

Please search for Config.ini file in the game installation, saved game data or Documents folder.
For Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, “ACBrotherhood.ini” is located in C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Saved Games\Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
For Assassin’s Creed Unity, “ACU.ini” is located in C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Documents\Assasin’s Creed Unity.
Once you locate the configuration file, right click it, choose Open with | Notepad.
Check for “DisplayWidth” and “DisplayHeight”. Replaces their values to change in-game screen resolution.
