Change TDR Delay
TDR Delay refers to the timeout detection and recovery, somewhat related to the application debugging. You might want to increment its value by changing appropriate Registry setting.
1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type RegEdit and click OK.
3. Open the following subkey:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SYSTEM | CurrentControlSet | Control | GraphicsDrivers
4. Double click the TDRDelay string in the right-hand side panel.
5. Enter 8 into the string value, click OK.
6. Exit the Registry Editor and reboot your machine.
Diable CPU Core Parking
CPU Core Parking is a power saving feature. It’s worth a short to disable the CPU core parking.
1. Restart your computer.
2. Press F2 or Delete keys repeatedly until the BIOS Setup screen is displayed.
3. Look for a feature called CPU Core Parking, select it and press ENTER.
4. Choose the Disable option and press ENTER.
5. Select Exit | Save changes and exit.
Alter the Paging File Size Limit
Determine the current amount of Paging File, a type of virtual memory used by Windows to hold data that cannot be filled up in your RAM.
1. Press Windows Key + R.
2. Type SysDm.cpl and click OK.
3. Click the Advanced tab.
4. Click Settings (Performance).
5. Click Advanced | Change (Virtual Memory).
6. Uncheck the box named Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
7. Select the system drive, for example, C:\
8. Choose the Custom size option.
9. Specify a higher size, and then click Set.
10. Click OK thrice.
Verify your Drivers
Detect and troubleshoot known problems with the drivers that are failing your system and causing it to behave unpredictably.
1. Press the Windows Key + R.
2. Type Verifier and click OK.
3. Choose Create custom settings (for code developers). Click Next.
4. Check-up the below boxes and click Next.
- DDI Compliance Checking
- Deadlock Detection
- Force IRQL Checking
- Miscellaneous Checks
- Security Check
- Special Pool
5. A confirmation dialog will prompt I/O verification. Click Yes.
6. Choose the Selective driver names from a list option. Click Next.
7. Click the Provider column head to rearrange all items.
8. Check-up all Non-Microsoft drivers, and then click Finish.
9. Reboot your machine for the changes to take effects.
